Radio Santa Rosa is located in the very heart of Lima, inside the Santo Domingo de Lima Convent.
In the IV Marian Congress, held in 1954, it was agreed to found the First Catholic Radio Station of Peru, which bears the name of Santa Rosa.
In August 1956, the document requesting authorization and the respective license was officially presented.
On June 24, 1957, the transmission equipment was blessed by Cardinal Juan Landázuri Rickets, Archbishop of Lima.
Subsequently, after two years of test transmission, on October 15, 1958, the Ministerial Resolution was officially released, it was created with the purpose of transmitting the prayer of the Holy Rosary and the Word of God.
This arduous and committed mission began through its airwaves, the crusade was introduced into homes, the message of the consoling and hopeful voice reached hospitals, prisons, parishes and human settlements.
With the blessing of God and the protection of Rosa de Santa María, the Dominican Order of the Santo Domingo Convent of Lima, began one of its works of evangelization in the revaluation of human dignity, transmitting from inside the Dominican cloisters, Sanctuary of the Peruvian Saints
